Pints & Plays Submissions

Submit your play to have a reading through our Pints & Plays program! The goal of this program is to connect some cool new interesting plays with a cool new interesting audience! Plays will be read and lightly staged by actors, and put up for one night only in front of a bar crowd. Please read all submission requirements before submitting!
While we would love for playwrights to physically attend the event, we do not require you to be local. We are happy to film the event and send you a copy!
REQUIREMENTS
This program is designed to support both playwrights and our mission of inviting new audiences in to experience theatre. The plays we ultimately select will meet these guidelines. Submissions should:
-Be between 60 and 100 pages - can be read roughly in an hour to an hour and a half.
-Be logical for a maximum of 5 actors to stage (double casting ok).
-Contain content that will connect with our particular audience. Is this a play that will pique the interest of bar patrons / general audience? Is this a play that will be exciting to experience in a reading without full staging?
-Fit our branding. We are a woman-owned company that appreciates woman/NB forward stories. Our mission is to build a communal sense of play by focusing on shows that are silly/fringe/weird. Does your play reflect our branding and how we are working to connect to audiences?
-Be un-produced, this program is intended for NEW plays.
-Should be complete enough that the audience will be able to understand and track the story/characters, even if it’s not at it’s final version.
-Not be a musical, we do not have the resources to effectively present musicals at this time.
